Giving Back With The Shop’s MyCommunity Partners

At The Shop, we are committed to engaging with and giving back to our local and entrepreneurial communities. We strive for the highest level of corporate citizenship by maximizing impact and positive change in our communities through our MyCommunity program, which encompasses corporate donations, volunteerism, support, and advocacy. We support at-risk populations, workforce development, and community renewal on the local level.

Each year, the MyCommunity program partners The Shop with three local nonprofit organizations. We facilitate donations and volunteer opportunities between our members and the nonprofits. Upon lease signing or renewal, members assign a select the organization to receive a monetary donation to one of these partners, creating steady and significant financial support. 2018 donations from member lease signing selections totaled $10,000, while additional contributions and sponsorships included hosting sponsored cocktails for 2018 partner KidSmart, contributing to Operation Spark training programs, and coordinating volunteer sessions at NOLA on Tap for LASPCA.

Read on for more information on The Shop’s 2019 MyCommunity partners and visit the organization websites to learn about ways to support.
